Sooriyarachchi misled; Mangala

SLFP (M) Wing Leader Mangala Samaraweera has expressed disappointment at the decision taken by Dilrukshi Sooriyarachchi in joining the ruling United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA).

Speaking to media, Samaraweera said, “I feel very sorry for her and I believe she has been misled by the UPFA.”

Samaraweera added, “If she thought that the policies laid out by our party, policies that are trying to do the right thing, were not good enough, she should have mentioned so before sending her nomination for the Gampaha district.” 

Sooriyarachchi is the wife of former SLFP (M) Wing Deputy Leader, the late Sripathi Sooriyarachchi and was the leader of the Gampaha district of the SLFP (M) Wing and a candidate of the UNP at the upcoming general election.
